MY STORY

The Posy Paddock began like many good things do, not with a plan but with a feeling.

A longing to slow down.

To create something meaningful.

To build a life connected to the land, the seasons, and the beauty found in everyday moments.

Before the flowers, there was a very different chapter.  For over two decades, I worked as a Veterinarian, eventually running my own practice.  It was a career I was deeply committed to, but after having my fourth child, life began to shift.  Priorities changed, and so did my direction.

In 2020, our family purchased a neighbouring farm, a place that would quietly become the foundation for everything that followed.

At its heart sat an old cottage.  What began as a renovation soon became something more, a creative awakening.  I found myself drawn to interiors, to the way a space can feel, and how thoughtfully chosen pieces can transform not just a home but the way you live within it.

That passion led me to study interior design and eventually to work with a leading design studio.  It was an incredible opportunity but one that came with time away from home, and from the life we were building here on the farm.

So, I returned.

Back to the land.

Back to working on our family farm.

Back to a quieter rhythm, though not without a sense that something was still missing.

It was in the garden that things began to shift again.

What started as a way to reconnect, to ground myself, slowly grew into something much bigger.  A space filled with colour, texture and life.  A place that brought joy, not just to me but to those who experienced it.

And from there, The Posy Paddock was born.

Today, The Posy Paddock is a flower farm, but it is also more than that.  It is a place to gather, to learn, to slow down and reconnect with nature, with creativity and with yourself.

Through seasonal flowers, curated homewares and thoughtful on-farm experiences, my vision is to bring together everything I love, farming, interiors, and the simple beauty of living in tune with the seasons.

Because I believe beauty doesn't have to be complicated.

That a bunch of freshly gathered flowers can transform a space.

That your home should feel warm, considered and lived in.

And that sometimes, the most meaningful moments are the quietest ones.

This is a space built with intention.  A reflection of a life grown and gathered over time.

And I'm so glad you're here.
